Are you a talented Network Engineer with a passion for designing and delivering cutting-edge network solutions?Join our team and play a crucial role in supporting infrastructure and business projects, both on-premise and cloud-based.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with suppliers, 3rd parties and internal design specialists/architects to transform high-level ideas into detailed technical designs.
- Provide guidance on availability, security, compliance, and capacity planning for proposed solutions.
- Partner with technical and non-technical teams, as well as third parties, to specify, deploy, test, document, and implement new systems.
- Offer technical advice on projects, ensuring seamless planning, testing, documentation, and implementation.
- Contribute to virtual project teams to deliver innovative project designs and new solutions.
- Work with Infrastructure support teams and project managers to translate requirements into actionable steps and design specifications.
- Provide efficient and reliable 3rd line support assistance when needed.
- Fully engage with third-party suppliers to meet security requirements across the retail and digital estate.
Travel Requirements:
- This role is field based and will require weekly travel to our venues across the UK.
- There may also be the opportunity to travel internationally, although this will be less frequent.
- The successful applicant must be able to travel to sites in the UK, sometimes this may to offices located in Europe and beyond.
Experience & Skills:
- Network Engineering experience is a must, and the successful candidate will have recognised qualifications and/or demonstrable experience within Network Engineering.
- Experience in Firewall Technologies: Checkpoint, Fortigate, Cisco Firewall experience desirable.
- ITIL certification or experience of working with ITIL approaches and practices including incident, problem & change management.
- Demonstrates a sense of passion and pride about own work. Positive attitude and adapts well to change. Inspires passion and excitement around shared goals, promoting an environment of achievement.
- Ability to develop and deliver clear, concise communication and communicate highly complex technical information clearly and articulately.
- Ability to identify, influence and work collaboratively with internal Stakeholders and key external service providers.
