We are seeking a Mid QA Automation Engineer with a strong background in JavaScript and/or TypeScript and hands-on experience in UI automation. This role involves working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where adaptability, multitasking, and prioritization are essential.
You will be part of a team that values collaboration, agility, and a quality-first mindset, supporting multiple daily releases using Kanban methodology.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for UI and API testing, prioritizing API automation.
- Utilize Playwright with TypeScript for UI automation to ensure comprehensive coverage of complex user interactions.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Manage and execute tests across multiple daily releases, identifying and addressing defects promptly.
- Maintain a balance between UI (30%) and API (70%) test coverage to align with product needs and automation strategies.
- Continuously refine and improve automation frameworks and processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Provide clear, actionable reports on test results and quality metrics.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with UI automation frameworks, particularly Playwright
- Strong understanding of API testing and automation principles
- Experience working in an Agile/Kanban development environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fluid, fast-paced setting
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into the build process
- Knowledge of other automation tools or frameworks is a plus
- Experience in quality engineering for products with heavy UI interactions
