This Software QA Engineer (IT Tester) role is a long-term contract at our direct client in Louisiana which is a large government organization.
It is fully remote, but the candidate should have work authorization to work in USA and also must be physically present in USA.
The scope of the proposed services will include the following:
- Primarily serve as a quality assurance software tester.
- Reviewing requirements and/or user stories to develop and execute test cases, scenarios and/or scripts
- Document and report test outcomes, including logging bugs or defects
- Develop a test plan, monitor and report progress, and identify and manage dependencies
- Testing all aspects of application components for compliance with the provided specifications and user stories. Ex: usability, functionality, exploratory, system, smoke, monkey, and compatibility testing
- Coordinate test activities, including technical and security testing, with other team members.
- Provide technical/non-technical knowledge transfer of testing processes.
- Develop and/or assist with project work plans, timelines, status reports, release notes, and other documentation; disseminate information as needed.
- Participates in all necessary team meetings and design sessions in accordance with Scrum ceremonies.
Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are mandatory:
- Three (3) years of experience with quality assurance testing of application software using varied testing methodologies.
- Three (3) years of experience in developing, identifying and validating appropriate test scripts and test data that ensures software functionality meets end user expectation.
Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are desirable but not mandatory:
- Relevant software QA certifications.
- Prior experience as a Business Analysts or Product Owner
- Prior experience documenting user stories or gathering requirements from stakeholders
- Prior experience creating user guide or onboarding materials
- Familiarity with Azure Dev Ops
- Previous work on a dynamic SCRUM team.
