Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled QA Engineer to join our high-performance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both manual and automated testing, coupled with leadership experience or the ability to drive quality initiatives across development teams. As a key player, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products by collaborating with cross-functional teams, setting testing strategies, and guiding best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manual Testing:
- Execute comprehensive manual test cases to identify bugs and ensure functional correctness of the product.
- Design and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements and user stories.
- Perform regression, integration, and acceptance testing on various platforms.
- Automation Testing:
- Create, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of an automated test suite to improve the efficiency and coverage of testing.
- Collaborate with developers to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Quality Leadership:
- Define and implement QA strategies, processes, and best practices to improve product quality and testing efficiency.
- Ensure test coverage across multiple projects while managing deadlines and resources.
- Advocate for quality throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC) by collaborating with product managers, developers, and stakeholders.
- Participate in defect triage meetings and coordinate with development teams to resolve bugs and issues.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the QA team, regularly reviewing processes and recommending optimizations.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Document and track bugs, test results, and metrics to provide insights into the product's quality and test coverage.
- Generate and present reports on test progress, test coverage, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
- Ensure thorough documentation of testing strategies, processes, and scripts for ongoing and future reference.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Knowledge of QA methodology and tools, software testing standards, and the software development cycle, including: test automation, test design, test execution analysis and reporting
- Demonstrated experience developing high-quality test plans
- Excellent communication skills, with a strong ability to convey technical concepts to internal and external stakeholders
- Creative problem-solving abilities, with a deep-seated drive to find ways to make things easier
- Ability to manage time between tasks and prioritize as necessary
- SQL database skills
- Proficiency in an object-oriented language such as C# and Java
- Ability to write automated test cases using Selenium, Cucumber or any other automation framework
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in all phases of software testing
- Proven experience in designing, developing, and executing both manual and automated test scripts.
- Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, or similar frameworks.
- Strong understanding of software development processes, testing methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of programming/scripting languages (e.g., C#, Java, Python, JavaScript) to develop test scripts.
- Experience writing test automation using automation frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Cypress and etc)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, or similar for automated testing.
- Experience in performance and load testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, etc.
