QA Engineer
The Opportunity
As a QA Engineer at Snowplow Analytics, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will work closely with our development and product teams to design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases. Your efforts will help us maintain the highest standards of quality and performance in our products.
Key Responsibilities:
● Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for Snowplow Analytics products.
● Identify, document, and track defects and issues using bug tracking tools.
● Work closely with developers to understand product requirements and provide timely feedback on quality issues.
● Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
● Automate test cases and contribute to the continuous improvement of our automated testing frameworks.Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure testability and quality.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth product releases.
● Monitor and analyze test results, and provide detailed reports on test coverage, defects, and overall product quality.
Requirements:
● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
● Proven experience as a QA Engineer or similar role.
● Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
● Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
● Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices. (e.g. GitHub Actions)
● Familiarity with cloud-based services and environments (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
● Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
● Strong communication and collaboration skills.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
● Experience with data analytics platforms and tools.
● Knowledge of Snowplow Analytics products and services.
● Understanding of event-driven architectures and data processing pipelines.
● Experience with performance testing and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).
● Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
● Familiarity in Go (Golang) programming language.
