We are seeking an experienced QA Lead to oversee a team of both manual and automation testers, driving quality across all stages of development and testing. This role involves both strategic leadership and hands-on contributions, with a strong focus on automation for web and client-server applications.
The ideal candidate will be skilled in managing and mentoring QA teams, proficient in automation tools, and experienced in performance, load, and stress testing using tools like JMeter.
This role requires a proactive problem-solver who ensures the highest standards of quality and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of manual and automation QA testers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Oversee and evaluate team performance, conducting regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, and setting development goals.
- Design, develop, and maintain an effective automation testing strategy for web and client-server applications.
- Develop and execute automated test scripts, including performance, load, and stress testing.
- Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot software defects.
- Develop and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Work closely with development teams to integrate quality assurance processes and promote best practices.
- Ensure robust and scalable testing strategies in cloud environments.
- Continuously assess and improve testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Provide hands-on support and guidance to the QA team.
Requirements:
- 6-8 years of experience in QA testing, with a strong focus on automation, and at least 2 years in a lead or management role.
- Proficient in automation testing for web applications, client-server applications, and cloud-based environments.
- Skilled in automated performance, load, and stress testing, with proficiency in tools such as JMeter.
- Strong background in developing and maintaining test plans, cases, and scripts.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze, and troubleshoot complex defects and performance issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to balance hands-on testing with management responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with additional automation and testing tools.
- Experience in continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) environments.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
