The Role:

Reown is seeking a meticulous and experienced Quality Assurance Tester to uphold and elevate the quality of our products.

As our first dedicated QA hire, you’ll have the unique opportunity to define and shape our approach to quality, complementing our existing automated testing framework.

Responsibilities:

1. UI Testing & Validation: Perform thorough, hands-on testing of UI workflows and screens that are not covered by automated tests. Create test plans to ensure that all aspects of the product meet testing expectations. Identify, document, and track bugs, ensuring detailed and reproducible steps for engineers to resolve issues efficiently. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to understand requirements, user flows, and expected outcomes for features and fixes.
2. Release Gating: Act as the “key approver” for pull requests (PRs) being merged, ensuring only high-quality deliverables progress to production. Validate that features meet design specifications and function flawlessly across various browsers and devices. Ensure that the appropriate test coverage has been added for new code or a fixed issue whenever possible.
3. Bug Management & Organization: Help maintain organization in Linear, properly labeling, categorizing, and prioritizing bugs. Work with the team to refine processes for bug triaging and resolution.
4. Quality Practice Development: Advocate for and implement best practices around quality assurance across the organization. Drive the development of robust testing practices and workflows to improve overall product reliability.
5. Quality Metric & Reporting: Define and track quality metrics to provide actionable insights into the organization’s testing and development processes. Regularly report on the state of quality across teams and recommend areas for improvement.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in quality assurance, testing, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of blockchain technology, cryptocurrency wallets, and the mechanics of on-chain transactions.
• Exceptional attention to detail, with a keen eye for spotting inconsistencies or bugs.
• Entrepreneurial mindset - willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
• Experience testing user interfaces, workflows, and end-to-end user journeys on both web and mobile.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with tools like Linear, Jira, or similar issue-tracking systems (we use Linear).

Nice-to-Have:

• You’ve used Reown / WalletConnect tools
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Proficiency in reporting and defining quality metrics to monitor product health.
• In-depth knowledge of user experience principles and best practices, with a track record of delivering intuitive and user-friendly products.
• Ability to write/improve automated tests for the web in JavaScript and optionally in other platforms e.g. React Native/Flutter/Swift/Kotlin.
