About the RoleWe are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join a fast-paced AI-driven SaaS startup that builds innovative solutions for research workflows. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our software products meet the highest quality standards through manual and automated testing. This position is ideal for someone who is hands-on with automation frameworks, proactive in quality practices, and thrives in agile startup environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases
- Build and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium, TestNG, and JUnit
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers to ensure quality from the start
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, contribute to sprint planning, and define acceptance criteria
- Perform API testing using tools like Postman or RestAssured
- Utilize Git for version control and maintain test scripts across environments
- Provide timely feedback on defects and support continuous improvement processes
Must-Have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in software QA, covering both manual and automation testing
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, TestNG, or JUnit
- Proficiency in Java for writing automation scripts
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies
- Experience working with Git for version control
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with API testing using Postman or RestAssured
- Familiarity with BDD frameworks like Cucumber
- Exposure to cloud-based testing platforms like BrowserStack
- Mobile testing experience (manual or using Appium)
