Full-Time Quality Control Specialist

Role Description We are seeking a Quality Control Specialist for Element Fleet Management, the largest pure-play fleet manager globally. We provide superior products, services, and solutions to our clients.

Responsibilities

• Handle transactional tasks and manage physical damage costs.
• Offer clients clear insights into spending rationale.
• Provide real-time, actionable insights on physical damage to client contacts.
• Attend client meetings and business reviews as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
• Educate internal stakeholders on best practices in the Collision Repair industry.
• Analyze all incoming estimates and photos to ensure repair plans are safe, cost-effective, and consistent with brand standards.
• Make spending recommendations for vehicle repairs/replacements.
• Analyze repair estimates (cars, light/medium/heavy trucks, specialized equipment).
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through fleet vehicle selection and use.
• Differentiate maintenance and collision costs; clarify fleet policies.
• Communicate repair intricacies to clients.
• Relay concerns to client contacts based on emerging trends and damage severity.
• Establish best practices for handling exceptions (flood vehicles, contamination, etc.).
• Serve as the SME within the Repair team for cost and repair methodology.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred
• Minimum 3 years in the automotive service industry; collision experience preferred
• Knowledge of vehicle anatomy, repair techniques (frame straightening, welding, refinishing)
• Knowledge of state/federal collision repair regulations (a plus)
• Physical Damage Appraiser license or equivalent experience
• I-CAR certification preferred; Certifications/Licenses can be substituted for hands-on experience

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years in the automotive service industry; collision experience preferred
• Knowledge of vehicle anatomy and repair techniques
• Knowledge of state/federal regulations regarding collision repair (a plus)
