Full-Time Quality Engineering Architect

As our Quality Engineering Architect, you will define the strategic direction of our test automation capabilities, establish architectural standards, and guide our SDET team in building scalable, maintainable testing solutions that serve multiple product teams across our platform.

What you'll do:

• Design and build from scratch a comprehensive Python-based test automation framework.
• Define architectural guidelines, patterns, and best practices for test automation.
• Create reusable, modular tooling and libraries.
• Establish technical standards for test code quality.
• Serve as the technical liaison between the QE organization and the Architecture Team.
• Document architectural decisions, design patterns, and implementation guidelines.
• Partner with development team product owners and engineering managers to align testing architecture with business objectives.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate testing seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines using Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure.
• Mentor senior SDETs and quality engineers.
• Develop sophisticated test automation solutions leveraging Python, PyTest, and modern testing frameworks.
• Design and implement cloud-native testing solutions on AWS infrastructure.
• Integrate AI-powered tooling responsibly.
• Ensure seamless integration with existing tools (Jira, DataDog, Sentry).

About you:

• 10+ years of software quality engineering experience with significant focus on SaaS platforms.
• Demonstrated experience architecting and building test automation frameworks from scratch.
• Expert-level Python proficiency.
• Proven track record of making and defending architectural decisions.
• Extensive experience with: Linux/Unix systems, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipeline design, Cloud platforms (AWS preferred), Modern testing frameworks (Playwright, Selenium).
• Exceptional ability to communicate with diverse technical audiences.
• Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies at scale.
