Contractor React Native Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
A client with Kforce is seeking a React Native Engineer to join their team remotely and someone who is a superstar that can hit the ground running.

Overview:
The React Native Engineer will play a critical role in driving innovation and growth for the Banking Solutions business. As a React Native Engineer, helping our mobile team create cutting-edge mobile applications. You will be responsible for implementing high-quality React Native solutions that meet our business objectives and exceed user expectations. Your technical expertise and strategic vision will drive the success of our Mobile projects and contribute to the overall growth of our company.

Duties Include:
* React Native Engineer will lead the development and maintenance of high-quality, cross-platform mobile applications using React Native, JavaScript, and TypeScript
* Implement scalable and performant solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices and mobile development standards
* Collaborate across android, iOS and Ionic capacitor teams
* Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and QA teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and drive project success
* Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in React Native development, evaluate new tools and libraries, and make recommendations for adoption
* Drive innovation in mobile development processes, tooling, and workflows to improve efficiency, code quality, and developer productivity
* As a React Native Engineer, you will proactively identify and address technical challenges, performance bottlenecks, and scalability issues in React Native applications
* Foster a culture of collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement within the mobile development team
* Act as a subject matter expert on React Native development, participate in technical discussions, and contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing efforts

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a related area
* 7-10 years with 6-8 years of full life cycle development experience and 5-7 years of programming and system design experience in financial services or a related industry in directly related progressively responsible positions; Or equivalent combination of education and experience
* 5+ years of hands-on experience in mobile app development, with a focus on React Native for cross-platform development
* Previous experience in a senior or lead engineering role, with a track record of delivering successful React Native applications from concept to deployment
* Proactive in identifying performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and other technical issues, and implementing solutions for optimal app performance.
* Active participation in the React Native community, contributions to open-source projects, and relevant certifications would be advantageous
* Demonstrates judgment and flexibility; thinks about issues and develops solutions that thoughtfully take the broader context into account - positively deals with a shifting demand for time, priorities, and the rapid change of environments
* Takes an ownership approach to engineering and product outcomes
* Action-oriented self-starter who can set strategy and drive execution with a -roll up the sleeves- approach
* Excellent interpersonal communication, negotiation and influencing skills to work effectively with all stakeholders (internal & external), making information-based decisions
* Penchant for excellence, both personally and professionally, demonstrated by intellectual curiosity, record of accomplishment, and reputation; Shows strong attention to detail and implementation of best practices with an inclination for continuous improvement
