Regional Sales Director
The Screening Team is focused on commercializing early cancer detection products.
The field-based Regional Sales Director leads a team of Account Executives in a designated region.
Responsibilities:
- Prospect and target early adopters, driving SHIELD adoption.
- Partner with labs for phlebotomy draw agreements.
- Build relationships with key thought leaders.
- Manage 8-12 direct reports, including recruitment, coaching, and development.
- Drive team performance through coaching, motivation, and clear expectations.
- Manage region sales targets and reporting.
- Forecast and achieve quarterly/annual sales goals.
- Ensure effective use of sales processes and materials.
- Manage open territories and recruit new personnel.
- Develop a comprehensive business plan.
- Collect customer insights and communicate them to leadership.
- Leverage product expertise to effectively present to customers.
- Collaborate with Key Account Managers and the commercial team.
- Maintain communication and collaboration within the team.
- Uphold company values and mission.
- Ensure sales force compliance with company policies.
- Meet customer access requirements; field-based role.
- Travel approximately 75% of the time within the assigned region and to regional/national meetings.
Requirements:
- 7+ years direct sales experience (medical, diagnostic, med device).
- 3+ years sales leadership experience.
- Measurable revenue generation in diagnostic/pharmaceutical/biotechnology.
- Experience leading sales teams promoting products to primary care providers.
- Experience in a sales leadership role during a product launch.
- Strong influencing, interpersonal, and networking skills.
- Excellent coaching, communication, presentation, listening, and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding market, customer, distribution, and product knowledge.
- Strategic business analysis and planning skills.
- Experience using Salesforce.com and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
- B.S. in life science, biology, business, or marketing preferred.
Salary: $172,000 - $190,000 (US). Includes target salary range, additional factors like location, skills, etc will influence the actual salary.
