About the Role: This field-based Regional Sales Director leads a team of Account Executives in a designated region. They promote SHIELD to general practice providers and their practices.
Responsibilities:
- Prospect and target to identify early adopter list for SHIELD.
- Partner with laboratories for phlebotomy draw agreements.
- Build relationships with key thought leaders and decision-makers.
- Manage 8-12 direct reports, including recruitment and development.
- Achieve sales targets and provide ongoing reporting.
- Forecast and achieve quarterly/annual goals.
- Ensure effective use of sales process and promotional materials.
- Manage open territories and recruit for vacancies.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business plan.
- Collect customer insights, market trends, and competitive data.
- Leverage product expertise to present technology and clinical benefits.
- Collaborate with Key Account Managers and commercial team.
- Maintain communication and team collaboration.
- Demonstrate GHI values (integrity, respect, trust, positive attitude).
- Leverage resources for technical/clinical/business content.
- Lead and participate in regional and national projects.
- Act as backup to the National Sales Director.
- Mentor individuals.
- Ensure sales force compliance with company policies.
- Meet customer access requirements.
- Travel approximately 75% in designated area.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years customer-facing sales experience (medical, diagnostic, med device).
- 3+ years sales leadership experience.
- Demonstrated revenue generation.
- Experience leading sales teams promoting products to primary care providers.
- Experience during product launch.
- Strong influencing, interpersonal, and networking skills.
- Excellent communication, listening, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability in a consultative selling process.
- Strong market, customer, distribution, and product knowledge.
- Strategic business analysis and planning skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Strong administrative skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint), and Salesforce.com.
- Bachelor's in life science, biology, business, or marketing (preferred)
Salary: $172,000 - $190,000 (USD)
