Full-Time Revenue Accountant

Hybrid Role: Requires 3 days onsite at our Costa Rica office (Zona Franca UltraLAG, Level 1, Heredia) and 2 days remote per week.

Job Overview: Procore is seeking a Revenue Accountant to join our Revenue Accounting team. This role is critical for revenue close, account reconciliations, and analytical report preparation for international and domestic revenue, deferred revenue, accounts receivable, and reconciling ARR.

Responsibilities:

1. Timely and accurate completion of month, quarter, and year-end revenue-related close items (journal entries, account reconciliations, analysis).
2. Partner with Order Management and Deal Desk on key controls (reviewing deals, evaluating transaction accuracy, documenting revenue impact).
3. Prepare complex spreadsheets with graphs and analytical tools (pivots, lookups).
4. Collaborate with the Revenue Accounting team on accounting matters and proper accounting treatment.
5. Assist with SOX and financial audits (PBC items, document support, reports).
6. Assist the Finance team with ad hoc research, reporting, and revenue, deferred revenue, and AR projects.
7. Mine data, analyze trends, and explain variances.
8. Follow US GAAP revenue recognition under ASC 606 and ARR in reviewing contracts and validating proper recognition in financial systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Proficient in English.
• 3+ years of progressive global accounting experience in a public or private company, ideally with revenue recognition experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and data analysis.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• ASC 606/SaaS/multiple-element arrangement revenue recognition experience (preferred).
• Prior experience with NetSuite, Zuora, RevPro, or Salesforce (preferred).
