Job Details
The Scientific Affairs Liaison interacts with Business Development, Proposal Development, and Laboratory Operations to win proposals. S/he exchanges information with stakeholders and proposes solutions to Management to grow the laboratory business.
Responsibilities:
- Reviews client clinical protocols and provides synopses.
- Provides and updates testing information, including cost, feasibility and TAT.
- Recommends in-house vs. outsourced testing capabilities.
- Identifies referral labs and obtains relevant information.
- Maintains a list of referral labs with contact information.
- Communicates with referral labs to meet time frames and testing capabilities.
- Negotiates pricing for large volume testing.
- Supports Proposal Development with sample logistics.
- Monitors the Central Laboratory test menu.
- Maintains database information for bid vs. awarded studies.
- Attends client meetings and dialogues with clients.
- Provides input to satisfaction surveys and translates findings into recommendations.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree.
- Minimum 5 years in a diagnostic, clinical laboratory.
- Experience with clinical assay validation protocols

- Excellent organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and database applications.
Hybrid position in Lancaster, PA.
