Full-Time Security Analyst

SOC Analysts monitor customer environments and perform Incident Detection, Validation, and Incident Reporting.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze network traffic and alerts
• Investigate intrusion attempts and analyze exploits
• Provide network intrusion detection expertise
• Conduct proactive threat research
• Review security events in SIEM
• Tune rules, filters, and policies for security technologies
• Mine logs for anomalous activity
• Contain, analyze, and eradicate malicious activity
• Document incident activities and provide status updates
• Manage, respond to, and report incidents
• Provide information to clients on intrusion events, security incidents
• Track trends, statistics, and key figures for clients
• Develop processes and procedures for incident response
• Prepare incident reports and security status reports
• Conduct client-facing security meetings

Position Requirements:

• Incident handling/response experience
• Working knowledge of common operating systems
• Understanding of security technologies (IDS, Firewall, SIEM)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Desire to work independently and collaboratively
• Willingness to learn
• 2-4 years of experience in Information Security
• Hands-on experience with security technologies
• Knowledge of security tools & techniques
• Understanding of common security threats
• Knowledge of regular expressions
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Certifications like CISSP, GCIA, Security+, CEH, ACSE are a plus

Night Shift: 7pm-7am ET, Wednesday/Thursday/Friday
