At NEC Software Solutions, Security Architects own a broad security mandate and support day-to-day cyber defense through the design and implementation of security technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Threat modeling and risk assessment.
- Developing security standards and producing security assurance documentation.
- Collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
- Delivering security architectures for UK Government, Health, or Policing sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Producing security architecture designs that meet business requirements.
- Producing high-quality security documentation.
- Presenting security architecture designs to the technical assurance board.
- Collaborating with other architects.
- Providing expertise to the cyber security team.
- Supporting application development and product teams with threat and risk assessments.
- Supporting bid and sales teams with security architecture expertise.
- Providing knowledge transfer to support teams.
- Contributing to the technology roadmap.
- Maintaining knowledge of NEC’s key security technologies.
Essential Skills:
- Understanding of security and non-functional requirements.
- Experience producing architecture designs within an enterprise environment.
- Hands-on experience with security-focused technologies.
- Knowledge of threat modeling methodologies.
- Familiarity with compliance and security standards such as ISO 27001 and NCSC Cyber Essentials.
- Good working knowledge of end user, compute, networking, and storage technologies.
- Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience designing and implementing solutions deployed to cloud platforms.
- Experience designing solutions within the UK Government domain.
Clearance: Requires national security vetting clearance at SC level or higher.
