Position OverviewThe Security Program Manager (SPM) leads strategic client programs and tactical projects, ensuring exceptional delivery and execution in line with contractual requirements. This position is critical to our cybersecurity solutions delivery team.
Key ResponsibilitiesManages Enterprise, Strategic, International (ESI) and high Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) accounts. May team with other SPMs for high MRR or ESI accounts.
Plans, coordinates, and manages service delivery for projects and multi-year managed contracts, reporting on key metrics.
Applies financial management principles to ensure fiscally sound decisions.
Ensures delivery aligns with scope of contract and client expectations, including budget, resource assignment, and project hours estimates.
Identifies and manages changes through a formal change control process.
Manages multiple program and project schedules to meet deadlines (milestones, deliverables, timelines).
Leads, coordinates, and plans client-facing meetings (initialization calls, status calls, annual program reviews, close-out calls).
Collaborates with service teams and other departments (business development, finance, solutioning, sales operations).
Leverages project management software for planning, monitoring, controlling, and reporting.
Serves as primary client contact for questions, concerns, status updates.
Ensures program and project scope is actively managed.
Demonstrates knowledge of industry best practices (PMI), techniques, and standards throughout the project and program lifecycle.
Monitors and controls project execution throughout the project lifecycle.
Develops an understanding of key industry and cyber regulations (GLBA, DFARS, CMMC, DFS, HIPAA).
Demonstrates good understanding of company offerings and their relationship to address client needs.
Understands cybersecurity knowledge, industry trends, competing offerings, and business drivers.
Leads, supports, and contributes to process improvement, industry updates, knowledge sharing, and mentorship of junior resources.
Supports department managers as needed.
Training and Professional DevelopmentAchieves industry certifications to align with department and business objectives.
Maintains proficiency in security services, industry trends, tactics, techniques, and process; project management tools; and internal business applications.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise6-8+ years of project and program management experience.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Cybersecurity experience preferred.
Experience managing client relationships.
Proficient with Project Management tools (Mavenlink, Project Plan templates, Roadmap Workbook, presentation materials, Microsoft Teams).
Demonstrates ability to meet/exceed department KPIs (managing to project/program budgets, profitability, internal and external feedback).
Ability to clearly engage, influence, and guide executive and board-level professionals.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Professional and engaging presentation skills.
