Contractor Senior Accountant

Job Role: Senior Accountant (004-00125)

Work Schedule: 40 hrs / week

Salary: 2,000 - 2,750 AUD / Month (Final offer will be based on the client’s assessment, as well as your experience and background)

Contract Type: Independent Contractor Agreement; Full-Time

Role Overview: Oversee accounts, reporting, and compliance; improve accounts receivable, accounts payable, and project setup within Xero. Contribute to client consulting projects through financial analysis, dashboarding, and data visualization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage accounts, receivables, and payables in Xero for accurate reporting.
2. Set up projects in Xero to track time, expenses, revenue, and profitability.
3. Set up new consultants and suppliers in Xero to track time, expenses, revenue, and profitability.
4. Deliver fortnightly reports on project, service line, and business profitability.
5. Submit BAS, IAS, and annual reports to the Australian Tax Office.
6. Communicate and drive consultants to submit timely timesheets, invoices, and expenses.
7. Manage and update compliance documents (client and supplier contracts, finance policies).
8. Improve internal financial processes (AP, AR, project approval in Xero, project setup in Xero, integration between Xero and HubSpot).
9. Develop client Power BI dashboards and support client financial model development.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in managing accounts, BAS, and IAS reporting.
• Proficiency in Xero.
• Experience with Power BI and other dashboarding software.
• Strong financial analysis and forecasting skills.
• Strong Excel skills (financial modeling a plus).
• Experience with professional services or project-based industries.
