Responsibilities
As a member of the FP&A team and reporting to the Director of FP&A, the Senior Analyst FP&A is responsible for supporting day-to-day planning and analysis activities that include the development and implementation of processes and tools that will deliver optimum operations of the department.
The position serves as a valued business partner to Executive and Senior Management leaders by providing financial management support that includes the preparation and presentation of plans (budgets/forecasts), regular management reporting and analysis of actual results, and the alignment of business analytics with the organization’s strategic objectives while ensuring those areas operate efficiently and effectively within Common App financial policies.
Qualifications
- Candidates must live in the United States.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 4-6 years of progressive financial planning and analysis experience preferably in a similar non-profit, marketplace businesses, and/or transactional (one-time) revenue streams of $30 million or greater.
- Experience using financial systems to prepare and manage budgets and forecasts, including the ability to develop and maintain a comprehensive financial projection model.
- Experience with financial planning and reporting software.
- Experience with analytics and visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Qlik).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP; ability to communicate differences in GAAP and cash financials.
- Strong analytical/modeling skills and experience executing budgeting and strategic planning processes for complex financial reporting organizations.
- Excel fluency and superior financial modeling, quantitative, and analytical skills with comfort creating scalable models as well as proficiency in PowerPoint/Google Slides.
