In this high-profile role, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, clarifying how competitors' evolving positions may affect Experian's businesses.
This is a remote position. You will report to the SVP of Strategy.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Develop competitive market intelligence and strategy materials for senior executive leadership, including a weekly global market event newsletter (circulation ~2,000 mid-level managers to senior executives).
- Review emerging market trends, case studies, and strategic topics to inform business insights and planning.
- Perform in-depth analyses (e.g., landscape mapping, channel assessment, segmentation, financial performance) using both quantitative and qualitative methods, supported by internal and external data sources.
- Collaborate with business, product, sales, technology, and finance teams, while also producing high-quality independent work.
- Develop applicable recommendations to support growth and business improvement, contributing to Experian's top and bottom lines.
- Contribute to annual strategic planning processes.
- Engage with senior executives and external consulting firms.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA is applicable but not required.
- 5+ years' experience in Investment Banking (e.g., M&A, equities research), Financial Research, Financial Advisory, or Corporate Financial Planning. Comparable experience in strategy consulting is also acceptable.
- Proficient in analyzing and modeling financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) and interpreting earnings releases for public companies.
- Experience explaining complex concepts and explaining their validity to senior leadership.
- Experience working with senior leadership teams and across multiple concurrent projects.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (macros, pivot tables, look-ups, filtering), PowerPoint, and Word.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (estimated at 10% or less).
