Full-Time Senior Analyst - IT Quality Assurance

• Works on rule protocols with the Rules Analyst and reports to IT QA Director.
• Reviews new or existing rules with a fast pace release schedule.
• Tests applications and protocols to ensure they meet requirements and log properly.
• Evaluates and tests new/existing rule engine changes.
• Verifies programs function according to requirements.
• Writes, revises, and verifies test procedures for program design and product evaluation.
• Tests and verifies applications associated with the rules engine.
• Documents bugs, defects, and features in the tracking system.
• Runs database queries to confirm proper data placement.
• Reviews programs to determine if they perform according to user requests and guidelines.
• Writes step-by-step instructions for repeating software bugs and communicates them to developers.
• Writes test plans, scripts, and reports. Documents versioning.
• Experience of working in an agile environment.
• Identifies differences between standards and user applications and suggests modifications.
• Sets up tests to locate and correct program operating errors.
• Writes documentation to describe program evaluation, testing, and correction.
• Actively participates in the Product Development Life-Cycle.
• Provides Quality Assurance for web applications.
• Reports and manages defects found during testing, working closely with Development for resolution
• Provides technical support for web-based applications.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT related field.
• 2 years software testing experience, required.
• 2 years MS SQL experience, required.
• 2 years of hands-on software QA analyst experience, required.
• 2 years of experience in MS technology, web apps, software development or manual testing, required.
• Ability to work after hours is routinely expected.
• Experience working in a HIPAA environment, preferred.
• Previous work experience in a heavily regulated IT environment
• Good verbal communication skills
• Excellent test plan writing skills and attention to detail
• Quality Assurance and Testing experience
