Full-Time Senior Analytics Engineer

Lime is the world's largest shared electric vehicle company, building a future of shared, affordable, and carbon-free transportation. We're hiring a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our Data Science & Analytics team.

In this role, you will report to the Manager of Analytics Engineering & BI and play a critical role in enhancing developer productivity across our data ecosystem. Your primary focus is partnering with data consumers to ensure scalable, performant, and user-friendly analytics infrastructure.

Lime is rapidly scaling data capabilities to support business growth. We need someone who can immediately contribute by writing efficient SQL and optimizing data workflows, with experience modeling B2C data using dbt and a strong understanding of ELT best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain scalable analytics infrastructure (dbt transformations, legacy pipelines, Tableau reporting).
• Develop and optimize complex SQL transformations for high-performance reporting and self-service analytics.
• Collaborate with stakeholders (data scientists, product managers, software engineers) to ensure alignment with business needs.
• Enforce data governance best practices (documentation, lineage tracking, data quality).
• Enable self-service analytics through structured BI tools and clear data documentation.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve automation and analytics workflows.

Qualifications:

• Expert SQL skills, including performance tuning and query optimization.
• 5+ years experience in analytics engineering, data modeling, or related fields.
• Experience with modern ELT best practices, especially dbt.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable data models.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills (technical and non-technical).

Preferred Experience:

• B2C data modeling experience.
• Familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow.
