Senior Analytics Engineer Mixbook is a community where creativity, collaboration, and data-driven decisions fuel our mission. Our Analytics team develops insights and delivers data infrastructure driving decisions across the business. We're looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to help us rebuild and scale our analytics foundation.
Responsibilities:
- Drive Business Performance: Own and maintain executive-level dashboards, ensuring the data models (LookML and dbt) behind them are accurate and scalable.
- Unleash the Power of Data: Develop and refine data models to support Mixbook’s growth.
- Transform Our Data Organization: Build repeatable, scalable solutions and guide end users on leveraging data models for self-service analytics.
- Champion Data Governance: Establish uniform definitions for key metrics, maintain data quality standards, and implement governance frameworks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics).
- 4+ years of proven experience in Analytics or Data Engineering.
- Expert proficiency in SQL and LookML - you’ve built and optimized complex data models.
- Proven track record with dbt – delivering modular, tested transformations.
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau) and ability to design intuitive visualizations.
- Success in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Comfortable introducing new analytic techniques and driving their adoption.
- Bonus Points Background in B2C eCommerce. Experience with Python (including statistical modeling libraries).
Location: Remote. Requires early-morning meetings (as early as 6am PST).
