Full-Time Senior Automation Test Engineer with Cypress

Our client operates in the financial sector, enhancing operations across their network. IT solutions ensure streamlined processes and heightened security.

Responsibilities:

• Lead test automation efforts: Design, build, and maintain robust Cypress test scripts using JavaScript/TypeScript for UI and API testing.
• Contribute to automation strategy: Define and enforce best practices, supporting the overall test strategy.
• Optimize test frameworks: Continuously review and enhance automation frameworks.
• Collaborate across teams: Work closely with developers, testers, product managers, and business analysts.
• Mentor and guide the QA team: Share best practices, perform code reviews.
• Integrate automation into delivery pipelines: Implement and manage Cypress automation within CI/CD workflows.
• Communicate results and improvements: Analyze test results, generate metrics, and provide actionable insights.

Must have:

• 5+ years of experience in Automation Test Engineering
• Proven expertise with Cypress using JavaScript or TypeScript for UI and API test automation
• Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured)
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and testing processes
• Proficiency with version control (Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt to evolving technologies

Nice to have:

• Background in BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, CodeceptJS)
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, etc
• Experience with other automation frameworks like Playwright, TestCafe, WebdriverIO, etc.
