Full-Time Senior BI Backend Developer

At KOSTAL we are running important BI tools. We need a Senior BI backend developer to maintain the tools, provide user support, and contribute to the S/4Hana / BW4Hana rollout project.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Detailing solution design with architects
• Creating SAP-BW data flows, data models, and CDS views
• Creating/developing extractors for SAP and non-SAP applications
• Implementing small ABAP routines
• Creating programming requests for internal/external programmers
• Steering external consultants/developers
• Participating in S/4Hana / BW4Hana rollout

Experiences & Requirements:

• Education: University degree in IT or related field
• Work Experience: 8+ years in BI
• Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in SAP BW on HANA
  • Strong knowledge of SAP BW on HANA architecture and data modeling
  • Experience with ADSO, Composite Providers, Open ODS Views, and SAP HANA Calculation Views
  • Proficiency in native SAP HANA data modeling (preferred)
  • Skills in SQL and HANA Script
  • ETL Processes and Data Integration
  • Ability to integrate data from various source systems (SAP and non-SAP)
  • ABAP Development (experience with ABAP routines, user exits, etc.)
  • Experience with Reporting Tools
  • Familiarity with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Analysis for Office, or other frontend tools integrated with BW
• Project Experience: Implementation, migration, and optimization projects in SAP BW
• Understanding of Business Processes: Familiarity with SAP modules (FI/CO, SD, MM, PP, HR)
• Agile & Traditional PM: Experience with agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and traditional methodologies
• Documentation & Testing: Ability to create technical documentation and specifications, and experience with automated/manual testing
• Language: Fluent English
