Full-Time Senior BI Backend Developer

At KOSTAL we are running important BI tools. This role needs a senior BI backend developer to maintain tools, provide user support, and contribute to solution design with architects.

Main tasks:

• Detail solution design with architects.
• Create SAP-BW data flows, models, and CDS views.
• Develop extractors for SAP and non-SAP applications.
• Implement small ABAP routines.
• Create programming requests for internal/external developers.
• Manage external consultants/developers.
• Participate in S/4HANA/BW4HANA rollout.

Experiences and requirements:

• Education: University degree in IT or similar.
• Experience: 8+ years in BI.
• Technical skills:
  • Expertise in SAP BW/HANA.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP BW/HANA architecture and data modeling.
  • Experience with ADSO, Composite Providers, Open ODS Views, and SAP HANA Calculation Views.
  • Proficiency in native SAP HANA data modeling (not mandatory).
  • SQL and HANA Script skills.
  • ETL processes and data integration.
  • Data integration from various source systems (SAP and non-SAP).
  • ABAP development (minor custom developments in SAP BW, routines, user exits).
  • Familiarity with reporting tools (SAP Analytics Cloud, Analysis for Office, etc.).
• Project experience: Implementation, migration, optimization projects in SAP BW.
• Understanding of business processes: Familiarity with SAP modules (FI/CO, SD, MM, PP, HR and their data models in BW).
• Project management: Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall methodologies.
• Technical documentation and specifications
• Testing: automated and manual testing.
• Language: Fluent English
