Fortitude Reinsurance Company Ltd. (Fortitude Re) seeks a Senior Business Analyst & Special Projects to identify critical issues in service delivery, formulating analytical approaches to quantify problems and solutions. The analytics will be applied to build projects and actions for improvement, mitigation, or elimination of identified opportunities.
Critical Success Factors include acquiring relevant data to assess operational problems, leading in building the case for change, using data to illustrate the story, and incorporating strong program/project management skills, analytical, critical thinking and curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborate with the business to solve problems using data and metrics.
- Lead cross-functional problem-solving, building presentations to make complex data understandable, and drive efficient decision-making.
- Manage projects from ideation through implementation.
- Provide feedback to Operations, Management, Clients, and Customers through communication (written, discussion, and reporting).
- Identify key data and acquire relevant data to understand situations and cause-effect relationships.
- Formulate structures to build the data-driven story for actionable items and the case for change.
- Identify opportunities and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the internal control environment and customer experience.
- Collaborate in ad-hoc report development.
- Support a culture of continuous improvement.
- Lead/Manage Roadmap Definition and Execution for the Reporting Center of Excellence within TPA Governance.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years Life Insurance operations and compliance experience
- Proficiency in MS Project and/or project planning software
- Familiarity with the IT systems development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Expertise in leveraging Excel, PowerBI, Cognos, or other reporting tools for data analysis
- Exceptional Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Experience in Life and/or Annuity Insurance Operations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Action-oriented, ability to manage multiple priorities, and adherence to delivery timeframes
- Solution-oriented mindset
- Knowledge of AI tools and usage
- Comfortable with ambiguity and self-directed
- Action-oriented
