Full-Time Senior Consulting Director, SOC Advisory

Your CareerAs a Senior Consulting Director within Unit 42’s Cyber Risk Management team, you will lead the Security Operations Center (SOC) Assessment offering in North America. This includes overseeing a high-performing team, maintaining delivery quality, driving revenue, supporting business development, and advancing service innovation.

Working with leadership, you will provide strategic direction for evaluating, maturing, and optimizing security operations. You will serve as the executive sponsor on key engagements, guide Directors and consultants, and partner with Unit 42 and Palo Alto Networks to refine services and elevate SOC capabilities.

You will be responsible for setting and achieving service line KPIs, including delivery excellence, customer satisfaction, and introducing Palo Alto Networks products as solutions.

Your Impact

• Provide strategic leadership for global SOC Assessment services, aligning with organizational goals, customer needs, and emerging threat trends.
• Own and drive success across all SOC Assessment KPIs.
• Lead the continual maturation and innovation of SOC Assessment methodologies.
• Serve as the executive sponsor for complex SOC engagements, ensuring delivery quality and client satisfaction.
• Deliver strategic guidance to CISOs, CTOs, on optimizing detection, response, and security operations.
• Embed Palo Alto Networks technologies (Cortex XDR, XSIAM, XSOAR) into engagements for measurable security outcomes.
• Own delivery staffing and capacity planning to ensure talent and expertise.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering career growth and technical depth.
• Collaborate with GTM teams to shape messaging and support successful engagements.
• Lead scoping and quoting efforts, ensuring accurate estimates and alignment to customer goals.
• Build trusted advisor relationships with key customers to drive repeat business.
• Represent Unit 42 as a SOC expert at industry events.
• Author and contribute to whitepapers, blogs, to advance knowledge and influence.
• Champion a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
• Act as the internal voice of the SOC Assessment service line to influence service roadmap and market positioning.
• Continuously monitor the evolving security operations landscape.

Your Experience

• 10+ years in cybersecurity, with 5+ years leading SOC services.
• 7+ years managing consulting delivery teams, ideally at Director level or higher.
• Deep understanding of SOC operations, detection and response, SIEM/SOAR tooling, and threat-informed defense.
• Experience conducting SOC assessments, maturity benchmarking, or blue team capability reviews.
• Familiarity with relevant frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF, CIS Controls, etc.).
• Demonstrated success in building, leading, and scaling consulting services.
• Strong executive presence and comfort engaging with CISOs, CTOs, and Boards.
• Excellent communication skills, with a record of influencing clients.
• Knowledge of Palo Alto Networks products.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or cybersecurity certifications preferred.
