ConnectPrep is dedicated to transforming student success through personalized instruction, technology, and data-driven strategies. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our team and lead strategic data initiatives across departments.
Position Overview
The Senior Data Analyst will play a key leadership role in building and scaling ConnectPrep’s analytics function. This individual will be responsible for designing and maintaining data systems, driving business insights through advanced analytics, and supporting key initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of dashboards, data models, and analytical tools.
- Translate complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Own the full analytics workflow, including data extraction (SQL), transformation, and visualization.
- Design and evaluate A/B tests, interpreting results to inform decision-making.
- Develop predictive models to support personalization and adaptive learning.
- Partner with internal teams to define data requirements and ensure consistent implementation of analytics strategy.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the development of internal data best practices and documentation.
- Support data governance, data quality, and compliance initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a data analytics or data science role.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python (Pandas, NumPy).
- Strong experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and communicate data projects independently.
- Experience designing and analyzing A/B and multivariate experiments.
- Familiarity with data pipeline tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt) and data warehouse architecture (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery) preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Passion for education and using data to drive meaningful outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in educational data analysis or adaptive learning technologies.
- Exposure to machine learning techniques and model deployment.
- Prior leadership or mentorship experience within analytics teams.
- Strong business acumen.
