Responsibilities:
- Analyse and prioritise critical data assets and metrics, determining their scope, complexity, and provenance
- Define and implement approaches to build critical data assets and metrics on strategic data and reporting platforms (e.g., Snowflake and Tableau)
- Elicit requirements for key ELT metrics and demonstrate via Tableau dashboards/reports
- Support Data Stewards, Business SMEs, and Product Owners in understanding business needs and solution options
- Ensure the application of Rest CDE methodology across product/platform/project teams
- Gather, document, and manage requirements for data initiatives, translating them into user stories with acceptance criteria
- Analyse and model business systems, processes, and user needs using various techniques (e.g., process mapping, story mapping)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop fit-for-purpose solutions
- Identify and manage risks and issues according to Rest’s data risk management framework
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree; IIBA® or similar industry standard certification preferred
- Experience in data warehouse/data lake projects (Snowflake and DBT desirable) and designing dashboards/reports (Tableau desirable)
- Strong understanding of data risk management practices (e.g. FAR, CPG235, DAMA, DCAM)
- Business domain knowledge in superannuation or financial services (desirable)
- Proficiency in business analysis techniques, including process mapping, story mapping, and modelling (e.g., BPMN, UML®)
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Demonstrated experience in writing user stories and acceptance criteria
- Proven ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritise workloads
