Reporting to the Manager of Data Services for Life Sciences, the Senior Data Analyst assists the Product Team by transforming transaction EHR data into research-grade data for Life Sciences.
This involves data coding, analysis, and industry knowledge, working with internal and external stakeholders. Research leads to requirements and pilot projects for the Life Sciences product team to develop data offerings or address product gaps, or drive revenue/marketing opportunities.
This is a new, remote position in the US or Canada, with occasional travel (<5%). Applicants must be eligible to work in the specified country.
The ideal candidate has seasoned experience in Life Sciences and the Long Term Post Acute Care (LTPAC) market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize SQL, Power BI, and other tools to extract, prepare, summarize, and visualize data; develop dashboards/reports; and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Effectively present to senior leaders.
- Lead cross-functional teams to identify business problems, understand desired outcomes, resolve issues, develop solutions, and build consensus.
- Apply advanced analytic skills in areas like analytic discovery, descriptive statistics, forecasting, multivariate modeling, experimental design, statistical inference, matching, machine learning, or predictive models.
- Work independently while keeping management/stakeholders informed, coordinating sophisticated activities/projects.
- Provide analysis and data interpretation in support of strategy development, program implementation, or evaluation.
- Provide guidance/leadership within the Data Services team, mentoring other analysts, conducting code reviews, and overseeing development processes.
- Actively train and develop staff, promoting a positive team environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Post-Secondary Degree in Data Science, Computing, Mathematics, or Healthcare Administration
- Seasoned experience in data analysis and visualization tools and modeling various clinical statistical concepts
- High proficiency in SQL
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional relationship-building skills at all levels
- Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Data Science, Computing, Mathematics, or Healthcare Administration
- Experience with data analysis (preferably in software development/data delivery)
- Experience with additional languages (Python, R, SAS)
Compensation:
Canada base salary range: $99,600 - $107,100 + bonus + benefits.
