Full-Time Senior Data Engineer (DBA)

Business Unit Mission: M3 Global Research, an M3 company, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with DBA expertise to join our data engineering team.

Role Focus: Building and maintaining robust data pipelines and managing database administration tasks (optimization, performance tuning, security). Working closely with stakeholders to ensure data solutions align with business objectives and leverage Power BI for visualization and reporting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Data Engineering Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, secure data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Lead the architecture and implementation of data models, schemas, and integrations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver optimal data solutions.
• Maintain and enhance data infrastructure (data warehouses, data lakes, integration tools).
• Support Power BI and other visualization tools to ensure consistent data insights.

1. Database Administration (DBA) Responsibilities:
• Manage and optimize databases for performance, security, and availability.
• Design and maintain database schemas, indexes, and partitions for scalability and efficiency.
• Perform database monitoring, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
• Implement database security best practices (access control, encryption, auditing).
• Troubleshoot database performance issues and optimize query performance.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, security policies, and industry standards.

General Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance on best practices for data management, security, and compliance.
• Oversee the delivery of data initiatives, ensuring project milestones, KPIs, and deadlines are met.
