We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to drive RDBMS, Warehousing, and Big Data solutions for our global BookData business. You'll curate the world's largest English-language bibliographic metadata and book sales measurement data sets.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop enterprise database solutions.
- Optimize data storage and retrieval processes.
- Troubleshoot performance issues.
- Implement data privacy and security measures.
- Participate in cross-functional projects with other developers.
- Contribute to overall data architecture and standards.
- Report daily progress and blockers to Scrum Master.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Oracle RDBMS (7+ years experience)
- SQL
- Data Modelling
- ETL
- Data Warehousing Design
- Excellent communication (written and verbal)
- Strong analytical skills
Desirable Skills:
- Microsoft Fabric
- PowerBI / Tabular Editor / ALM Toolkit
- Spark/Hadoop or other big data solutions
