Full-Time Senior DevOps Engineer – ZTA

Ivanti are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer focused on ZTA to join our DevOps team in Scotland.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enabling product development to release and host software effectively and efficiently.

What you’ll do

• Working in a scrum team, collaborate with colleagues to solve complex challenges, overcoming constraints in cost and execution time.
• Focus on Ivanti Neurons for Zero Trust Access product (web hosted application written in Python, with a Postgres database and a React JS frontend).
• Leverage technologies for high availability, scale, and reporting (Redis, Kafka, ElasticSearch).
• Use Kubernetes to host the product in the cloud.
• Utilize Azure to provide a platform for applications.
• Facilitate deployment and observation using GitHub Actions, Terraform, and New Relic.
• Develop pipelines using versioned scripts/definitions to build and test software components.
• Implement deployment pipelines for various targets (Test, Staging, Production).
• Understand the Definition of Done used by product development teams and build automation/integrations to help them conform.
• Build tooling to automate and comply with security requirements/certifications.
• Follow industry best practices and Ivanti guidelines for standardization.
• Identify bottlenecks in processes and work with peers to improve them.
• Participate in discussions and code reviews.
• Observe production metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement further monitoring.

Desired Experience

• 5+ years of team-based coding experience
• Fundamental understanding of DevOps practices (CI/CD, DORA metrics)
• Code authoring and writing reusable, maintainable code in version control
• CI Servers/Runners experience (Bamboo, GitHub Actions)
• Container and Kubernetes orchestration experience
• IaC experience with Terraform, Bicep, Helm Charts
• Documentation using UML and company wiki
• Modern SDLC exposure managed by project management tooling (ADO, Jira)
