Senior Director, Business Intelligence
Job Overview: As the Senior Director, Business Intelligence, you drive the strategic vision, development, and execution of business intelligence and analytics capabilities for data-informed decision-making. You lead a team, partner cross-functionally, develop dashboards, define key performance indicators, and surface actionable insights to drive operational excellence and business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Business Intelligence function, setting strategy and delivering reporting and analytics.
- Design and implement scalable dashboards and data tools for visibility into key metrics.
- Partner with leaders to translate business goals into data models, KPIs, and measurement strategies.
- Drive a data-driven culture through data literacy, intuitive tools, and self-service reporting.
- Own the integrity, structure, and governance of business data and reporting systems.
- Evaluate tools and systems to improve scalability, data integration, and visualization.
- Manage, develop, and mentor BI analysts for high performance and alignment with business priorities.
- Deliver high-quality insights to influence planning, forecasting, customer experience, sales, and operations.
- Lead strategic projects requiring data modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
- Support CFO, Senior VP of Finance, and Director of FP&A for special projects.
- Handle additional senior-level responsibilities in Accounting and FP&A.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in BI, Analytics, Finance, or Operations, with 5+ years in leadership.
- Direct Private Equity experience in a software portfolio company.
- Proven success leading BI/Analytics in a high-growth, global SaaS/Technology company.
- Expertise in designing/implementing reporting solutions (Excel, Salesforce, Tableau CRM, Looker).
- Experience with data warehouses and ETL processes (AWS Redshift, Fivetran, Looker ML).
- Ability to translate business problems into data questions and deliver insights to leadership.
- Strong project management skills, balancing short-term needs with long-term scalability.
- Excellent communication skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Business, Finance, Data Science, or related fields.
- Experience in e-commerce, SaaS, or technology.
- Knowledge of financial/operational SaaS metrics (ARR, churn, CAC, LTV).
- Experience collaborating with Data Engineering, Finance, and Revenue Operations teams.
