Responsibilities: As a member of the FP&A team, the Senior Analyst FP&A supports day-to-day planning and analysis activities, develops and implements processes and tools for optimum departmental operations. The position serves as a valued business partner to Executive and Senior Management leaders by providing financial management support, preparing and presenting plans (budgets/forecasts), regular management reporting and analysis of actual results, and aligning business analytics with the organization's strategic objectives while ensuring efficient and effective operations within Common App financial policies.
Qualifications:
- Candidates must live in the United States.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 4-6 years of progressive financial planning and analysis experience preferably in a similar non-profit, marketplace businesses, and or transactional (one-time) revenue streams of $30 million or greater.
- Experience using financial systems to prepare and manage budgets and forecasts, including the ability to develop and maintain a comprehensive financial projection model.
- Experience with financial planning and reporting software.
- Experience with analytics and visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Qlik).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP; ability to communicate differences in GAAP and cash financials.
- Strong analytical/modeling skills and experience executing budgeting and strategic planning processes.
- Excel fluency and superior financial modeling, quantitative, and analytical skills.
- Attention to Detail, Expertise, Leadership, Decision Making, Analytic Skills, Adaptability, Financial and Business Acumen, Planning and Priority Setting, Relationship Management.
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field is a plus.
- CPA, CFA, or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Grant and/or government contracting financial modeling and reporting experience.
- Experience with Workday Adaptive is a plus.
