What We Do Roo (www.roo.vet) is a B2B labor marketplace for animal healthcare. It connects veterinary professionals with hospitals using technology. The platform allows hospitals to fulfill personnel needs in real time and veterinary professionals to secure work easily. Roo aims to improve staffing, work-life balance, and outcomes for clients and their pets.
About the Role This role is a foundational member of the FP&A team. It focuses on scaling financial reporting, planning, and analytics. Responsibilities include building and maintaining financial models, supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual planning and reporting, and developing financial operations best practices. This role will be a strategic partner to cross-functional stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Support and expand internal and external financial reporting.
- Facilitate financial planning (quarterly, annual, long-range).
- Build and manage financial models (three-statement operating models, unit economics models, ROI models).
- Partner with departments to understand function impact and investment to better measure and forecast performance.
- Collaborate with data and accounting teams for accurate, timely, and scalable financial reporting, forecasting, and analytics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a high-growth startup, investment banking, private equity, or management consulting.
- Strong financial analysis and modeling skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, Google Suite, and QuickBooks.
- EPM system experience is a plus.
- SQL and data visualization experience (Mode) is desirable.
- Excellent communication and emotional intelligence skills.
