ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Insider risk team lead responsible for digital forensic investigations, interfacing with legal, and mentoring insider risk team members. This hands-on position allows expressing investigative, computer forensics, and analytics skills.
Lead investigation of threat signals, develop indicators, and mentor/coach junior team members.
Frequent communication with business leaders, legal, and other teams.
Essential skills: strong analytical skills and deep understanding of technologies (Windows, MacOS, Linux), network communication protocols, and data formats.
Required:
- Independently complete responsibilities, drive forensics investigations.
- Oversee and mentor international team.
- Deliver investigation reports to managers, legal, and executives.
- Working knowledge of DLP (Data Loss Prevention): explain events and user activity.
- Understanding of user behaviors endangering company intellectual property: explain potential methods of IP egress.
- Understanding of system behavior and removable media/file share artifacts: explain artifacts during removable media connection/removal.
- Understanding of firewall and DNS logs for data leak identification: read logs and explain communication details.
- Written and spoken English communication with managers (up to C-level) and Legal: explain DLP events and escalate information.
- Explain technical DLP terms to non-technical personnel.
- Read and interpret basic Python and PowerShell scripts.
Preferred:
- Previous law enforcement investigation background.
- Understanding of machine learning principles.
