Full-Time Senior IT Engineer

McFadyen Digital is seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Engineer with 8 to 10 years of experience managing and securing enterprise IT infrastructure.

Ideal candidate has expertise in Azure Cloud, Intune, Microsoft Defender, network security, Palo Alto Firewalls, and cybersecurity tools.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and optimize Azure Cloud infrastructure (VM management, networking, security).
• Deploy, configure, and maintain Microsoft Intune.
• Oversee Microsoft Defender for threat protection, vulnerability management, and endpoint security.
• Administer and secure Palo Alto Firewalls (policy, VPN, monitoring).
• Implement network segmentation, intrusion detection/prevention, and threat intelligence.
• Deploy and monitor EDR, MFA, PAM, and ZTNA solutions.
• Provide internal IT support.
• Oversee laptop provisioning, user onboarding/offboarding, and device lifecycle management.
• Monitor and troubleshoot IT infrastructure issues.
• Work with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and maintain IT documentation, security policies, and incident response procedures.

Skills Required:

• 8 to 10 years experience in IT infrastructure, cloud security, and network security.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms, endpoint management, and network security.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune, Defender, Palo Alto Firewalls.
• In-depth understanding of firewall technologies (Palo Alto preferred) and network security principles.
• Expertise in cybersecurity tools (EDR, MFA, NAC, PAM, ZTNA).
• Strong troubleshooting skills and incident response ability.
• Define processes and enforce best practices.

• Microsoft Azure (identity, networking, compliance)
• Microsoft Intune
• Microsoft Defender
• Palo Alto Firewalls and policies
• Cybersecurity tools (EDR, MFA, PAM, ZTNA)
