Position Summary The Cloud Services Senior Manager at Coalfire plays a crucial role in driving the organization’s business and practice direction. They possess strong communication skills, technical writing abilities, and expertise in cloud architecture, project management, marketing, and sales support.
They are responsible for building and maintaining strong client relationships and actively managing project progress and resources.
Additionally, they coordinate go-to-market strategies for new services and play a vital role in shaping the overall direction and success of the practice. People management, mentorship, recruiting, and training are also key responsibilities, ensuring the development and growth of both the team and the practice as a whole.
What You'll Do
- Serve as engagement lead on professional services projects and propose/review technical solutions.
- Manage multiple team tracks of consultants/specialists/delivery and serve as front line escalation point.
- Allocate resources (personnel and budgets) appropriately.
- Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with key client stakeholders.
- Track and understand clients' evolving needs – articulate project risks and status via client presentations.
- Review delivery of teams against quality standards and risk management frameworks.
- Support thought leadership activities.
- Provide mentorship for career pathing, performance reviews, and professional development of direct reportees.
- Travel required up to 25%.
What You'll Bring
- BS or above in related Information Technology Consulting field or equivalent.
- Experience managing teams of 4-8 individuals.
- Background in technical organizations focusing on DevOps, operations, and delivery management.
- Conversational knowledge of orchestration and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective documentation skills (technical diagrams and written descriptions).
- Professional attitude and demeanor.
- 3-5 years directly leading client engagements on at least one of the following cloud IaaS providers: AWS, Azure, GCP.
- Strong project management background.
- Critical thinking, balancing security requirements with mission needs.
- Relationship management skills, working with C-Suite.
- Project management experience.
- Ability to work quickly, efficiently and accurately in a dynamic environment.
- Experience mentoring or managing consultants (bonus).
- Cloud-based networking experience (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco ASAv).
- Familiarity with frameworks (FedRAMP, FISMA, SOC, ISO, HIPAA, HITRUST, PCI).
- Certifications (PMP, CISSP, CISM, CISAF, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with configuration baseline standards (e.g., CIS Benchmarks & DISA STIG).
- Experience with MS Project and Visio (bonus).

Specific salary offer will depend on factors such as education, location, training, and certifications.
