Full-Time Senior Payer Operations Manager

About the Senior Payer Operations Manager at Headspace:Headspace's mission is to provide access to mental health support. We offer behavioral health coaching, video therapy, video psychiatry, and self-guided content proven to improve symptoms of depression and anxiety.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support Headspace payer partnerships, negotiating, executing, and ensuring compliance with network agreements.
• Further develop payer relations, collaborating across departments and aligning with financial/compliance goals.
• Negotiate in-network contracts, including fee-for-service arrangements.
• Manage the end-to-end network contracting process (recontracting, renegotiation).
• Apply market knowledge and data insights to drive negotiation and contract strategy.
• Assist health plan billing/credentialing teams to resolve operational/payment issues.
• Partner with billing, credentialing, compliance, and legal teams for payer compliance.
• Negotiate delegated credentialing agreements with payers.
• Interface with Credentialing Verification Organizations.
• Oversee payer claims/notes audits.

Required Skills:

• 6+ years of contracting/network experience
• Experience contracting with/on behalf of a payer (including provider relations)
• Understanding of health plan network operations, billing, collections, and payer network management
• Strong negotiation skills
• Strong relationship building and collaboration skills
• Ability to drive the end-to-end contracting process
• Analytical and data-driven skills

Preferred Skills:

• Digital health experience

Compensation:

Base salary: $113,000 - $159,000
