Full-Time Senior Power Engineer

• Designing and reviewing DC power systems
• Preparing and maintaining detailed engineering documentation
• Evaluating and standardizing power equipment
• Collaborating with transport, OLT, and implementation teams
• Supporting installation and commissioning of power systems
• Ensuring adherence to standards and codes
• Tracking power capacity, utilization, and redundancy
• Conducting preventive maintenance programs and power audits
• Providing input to RFPs and vendor evaluations
• Conducting load analysis and capacity forecasting
• Ensuring designs comply with industry standards
• Defining technical specifications and design criteria
• Collaborating with external and internal teams
• Reviewing vendor proposals and evaluating equipment
• Requisitioning materials and tracking purchase orders
• Providing technical guidance during installation
• Conducting site surveys and audits
• Recommending design improvements

• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of experience designing DC power systems
• Strong knowledge of -48V DC systems
• Proficiency with one-line diagrams and load calculations
• Familiarity with Telcordia, NEC, and OSHA
• Understanding of transport and router equipment/technologies
• Product knowledge of Cisco, Nokia, Ciena, Fujitsu, Calix, and Adtran
• Knowledge of systems/tools such as SAP, IQGeo, CO Power Database
• Strong project management skills
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills

• Experience with Vertiv, Emerson, Delta/Eltek, and Alpha power systems
• Knowledge of central office and OLT/transport infrastructure
• Familiarity with remote monitoring and SNMP-based alarm systems
• Understanding of energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives
