Full-Time Senior QA Analyst

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team.

With over 7 years of experience in the field and proven management capabilities, you'll be responsible for ensuring the excellence and dependability of our software products.

1. Leadership and Mentoring: Mentor and guide QA team members, ensuring best practices are followed. Review and approve test plans, foster collaboration, and support hiring and training efforts.
2. Strategic Test Planning and Execution: Develop and execute strategic test plans. Ensure test execution aligns with organizational goals and QA standards.
3. Advanced Manual and Automated Testing: Oversee manual and automated test execution, ensuring critical paths are covered. Lead automation efforts using JavaScript-based frameworks for backend and frontend testing.
4. Continuous Improvement: Enhance testing methodologies, integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, and drive the adoption of new tools and best practices for efficiency and quality.
5. Reporting and Communication: Provide clear test reports and updates to stakeholders. Ensure alignment on testing objectives across cross-functional teams for software quality assurance.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Over 7 years of experience in quality assurance and software testing, including test automation and at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
• Proficient in designing strategic test plans and overseeing both manual and automated testing efforts.
• Experience in mentoring and leading QA teams towards achieving organizational and project objectives.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript-based testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, Cypress, CodeceptJS).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and their integration with automated tests.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycles, testing methodologies, and quality assurance best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality software products.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to liaise with cross-functional teams and foster a collaborative working environment.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), and a strong understanding of the Agile development process.

Exceptional verbal and written English language skills.

Remote work, flexible hours. Minimum overlap with New Zealand Time (NZT) each day: 4 hours. Attend key sprint meetings on Tuesdays 2:00 PM-4:00 PM NZT.
