About the role As a Senior QA Engineer in the Central Platform team, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining our quality assurance frameworks. You will own and design test automation and efficiency tools for our QA and Product teams.
You’ll partner with our QA and Development leaders to identify the best opportunities and technology for our projects and contribute towards the architecture and tests suite to reach our quality assurance goals. This role offers opportunities for growth, research & innovation, and having your ideas heard and making a meaningful impact.
What you’ll achieve
- Partner with the Staff QA Engineer and contribute to our central test framework, partnering with QA and Dev leaders in defining ongoing requirements.
- Contribute with ideas that enable tech innovations within the team.
- Contribute to building a suite of automated tests for internal tooling.
- Be part of creating our initial core test suites and have an opportunity to define quality from the early stages.
- Provide support and maintenance of our test architecture to the needs and requests of the game and engineering teams.
- Contribute to defining tooling and solutions that serve as best practices for QA automation efforts.
- Be part of the team defining the overall Fortis QA advanced test strategy for all projects.
What You’ll Need to Be Successful
- Proficiency in programming languages (JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, Python) and experience with front-end frameworks (React, Angular) and Node.js.
- Contribution to building or extending automation frameworks using libraries such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium WebDriver.
- Knowledge of AWS cloud services, including S3, EC2, and messaging services.
- Familiarity with RDBMS such as Postgres, preferably with the ability to write SQL queries.
- Familiarity with MongoDB Atlas would be an asset.
- Strong understanding of API contract testing.
- Good understanding of Linux environment and CI/CD workflows (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
- Experience working with infrastructure, DevOps, and orchestration tools like Terraform & Terragrunt would be a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work embedded within a team to identify their technical needs and goals.
- Proven ownership and autonomy, driving quality initiatives and projects.
- Strong verbal and written English skills required for effective collaboration within a global team.
