Full-Time Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

• Validating issues of all complexity with minimal guidance
• Building and maintaining automated test frameworks across all testing phases of the service deployment process, encompassing both back-end and front-end
• Diagnosing run failure reports and transforming them into actionable tasks
• Developing and executing comprehensive test plans
• Breaking down complex testing efforts into simpler phases
• Identifying and prioritizing unowned or undesirable work
• Demonstrating autonomy in resolving blockers and challenges
• Collaborating with teams to solve problems
• Transferring knowledge within the team
• Collaborating across divisions to resolve complex issues and share knowledge
• Maintaining an understanding of industries that use Ignition
• Mentoring and supporting junior Quality Assurance Engineers

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering OR at least 4 years experience in a related field
• 3-5 years of industry experience
• Experience with microservice architectures (REST APIs, messaging systems, pub/sub architectures)
• Cloud Platforms (AWS preferred)
• Programming proficiency with modern test automation languages (Python, JavaScript)
• Experience with architecting and implementing modern web UI testing principles
• Experience integrating automated test phases into CI/CD pipelines
• Exposure to API testing tools such as Postman and Rest Assured
• Familiarity with agile methodologies such as SCRUM
• Familiarity with source control management systems such as Github
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Performance/Load testing experience in a cloud-based microservices architecture (e.g. K6 or related tool)
• Experience with bug tracking systems
• Familiarity with common network protocol stacks (HTTP, IP)

• Experience with specific API contract testing tools (Pact, Portman)
• Experience using containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with systems that utilize the CQRS pattern
• Experience with Maven and Gradle build tools
• Experience testing with all major OS platforms, including Windows, Linux, and macOS
• Familiarity with the manufacturing industry and SCADA software
