aytm "Ask Your Target Market" is seeking a Senior Research Manager to join our growing Research Services team.
Our research services team caters to full-service and assisted service accounts. Responsibilities include client-facing market research, working with clients to define objectives, selecting methodology, designing surveys, programming, fielding, data analysis, and reporting.
Key Requirements:
- Deep experience with online survey research, especially managing quantitative market research projects (various sizes & complexities, multi-country studies, advanced analytics, etc.)
- Expertise in managing multiple priorities and communicating with stakeholders
- Experience consulting on research methodology and design with clients
- Strong attention to detail
- Solution-oriented and customer-focused approach
- Experience managing or mentoring junior researchers
Responsibilities:
- Client Engagement: Independently work with clients to define objectives, understand research scope, consult on methodology/design/surveys
- Serve as primary client contact, managing communication, daily updates, and SLAs (with research analyst support)
- Act as a thought partner to clients and attend conferences for knowledge/relationship building
- Research Management and Execution:
- Select appropriate research methodology and outline sampling plans
- Design questionnaires aligned with client objectives
- Oversee fieldwork, manage escalations (with Research Analysts)
- Develop analysis plans for moderate to high complexity studies
- Interpret data, write reports, and provide actionable recommendations
- Liaise with vendors to ensure client/company best practices
- Ensure deliverable quality meets client expectations
- Mentorship and Leadership:
- Mentor/coach analysts on survey optimization, screeners, analysis plans, reporting
- Review analysis and reports for accuracy, consistency, and value add
- Serve as a knowledge resource for internal teams (sales, account management, product teams)
- Continuously develop knowledge to match industry standards and broaden knowledge in methodology, techniques, and tools
- Contribute to research learning sessions and support team training/development
Qualifications/Skills:
- Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Social Sciences, or related field (quantitative emphasis preferred)
- 7+ years' experience in quantitative market research (supplier-side or strong DIY client/corporate experience)
- Experience executing all aspects of online survey research: design, programming, data analysis, reporting
- Experience with advanced methodologies (e.g., conjoint, MaxDiff, segmentation)
- Experience in CPG or technology verticals (a plus)
- Experience with online survey platforms
- Ability to manage multiple projects in an agile environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially PowerPoint and Excel)
- Self-starter with strong drive/motivation
