Full-Time Senior Security Detection Engineer - SPLUNK

The ServiceNow Security Organization (SSO) delivers world-class security solutions. We help customers migrate data and workloads to the cloud. We are looking for a Senior Detection Engineer to improve incident response efficiency.

This role focuses on building detections, workflows, and services utilizing Agile processes, primarily with the ServiceNow platform. Collaboration with peer teams is critical.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build threat detection use cases leveraging threat intelligence and incident response data.
• Document products and deliver demos to operational teams.
• Collaborate with security platform engineering teams, development teams, and product managers on requirements and roadmaps.
• Collaborate with other detection engineers and incident responders on new detections.
• Design and build systems in various public cloud ecosystems (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Provide input on future products for a digital transformation cloud company.
• Work with a data scientist on training novel ML models for detection use cases.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in Security Engineering or Security Operations.
• 3+ years of experience writing advanced Splunk queries, including regex field extractions.
• 1+ year experience with public cloud technology (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with incident response and digital forensics processes.
• Experience working with security operations teams.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with the ServiceNow platform is preferred.
• Openness to exploring innovative automation ideas.

Additional Requirements: US Citizen, US Naturalized Citizen, or US Permanent Resident (Green Card holder). ServiceNow background screening, USFedPASS required. Includes credit check, criminal/misdemeanor check and drug test.
