Position OverviewThe Senior Security Program Manager (Sr. SPM) leads strategic client programs, ensuring exceptional delivery and execution. The Sr. SPM manages delivery teams, program and project plans, and maintains project health for successful program delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manages Enterprise, Strategic, International (ESI) and high MRR accounts.
- May team and/or manage other SPMs for high MRR or ESI accounts.
- Plans, coordinates, and manages projects and multi-year contracts, reporting on key metrics.
- Applies financial management principles for fiscally sound decision-making.
- Ensures delivery aligns with contract scope and client expectations (budget, resources, hours).
- Manages change through a formal change control process.
- Manages multiple program and project schedules (milestones, deliverables, timelines).
- Leads client-facing meetings (initialization calls, status calls, annual reviews, close-outs).
- Collaborates with service teams and other departments (business development, finance, solutioning, sales).
- Effectively leverages project management software.
- Serves as primary client contact for questions, concerns, and updates.
- Actively manages program and project scope.
- Demonstrates client success behaviors for long-term retention.
- Shares advance knowledge of industry best practices (PMI).
- Develops understanding of industry regulations (GLBA, DFARS/CMMC, DFS, HIPAA) and DeepSeas services/solutions.
- Demonstrates deep understanding of company offerings and their interrelationship in addressing client needs.
- Demonstrates fundamental understanding of cybersecurity trends, competing offerings, and business drivers.
- Leads and contributes to process improvement, mentorship/junior resource development, and industry updates.
- Supports department managers administratively and operationally.
- Models PACE (Proactive, Alignment, Communication, Expected Results) behaviors.
- Training and Professional Development
- Achieves industry certifications as needed.
- Maintains proficiency in security services, industry trends, tactics, techniques, and processes, and project management tools.

- Partners with professional development and department managers for internal trainings.
- Supervisory Responsibility (May have direct reports/small teams).
Skills/Knowledge/Expertise
- 8+ years Program Management experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Cybersecurity experience preferred.
- Advanced proficiency with project management tools (Mavenlink, templates, roadmap workbook, presentations, Microsoft Teams).
- Proven experience successfully managing client relationships.
- Demonstrates consistent achievement of department KPIs (budget management, profitability, feedback).
- Engaging presentation skills.
