Full-Time Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Bitwarden is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our growing team.

Responsibilities:

• Own Bitwarden's cloud infrastructure focusing on quality and user delight.
• Evaluate current infrastructure and recommend improvements for reliability, security, availability, scalability, and cost management.
• Implement site reliability tools, monitoring, alerts, and observability.
• Respond to infrastructure outages, contributing to 24x7 support (on-call rotation).
• Design and engineer operations at scale.
• Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and incident management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define priorities.
• Align with product owners on SLIs/SLOs/SLAs.
• Identify and implement new initiatives to support organizational needs.
• Evolve Bitwarden's SDLC as we scale.
• Mentor team members.

Requirements:

• Expertise with multi-region deployments in public cloud environments.
• Demonstrable Kubernetes experience (Managed Kubernetes, Helm, kubectl, kOps, etc).
• Strong background in Reliability Engineering, DevOps, and Software Engineering.
• Fluency in at least one programming language (e.g., C#, Python, Go).
• Experience with cloud deployment and automation tools/methodologies (e.g., GitOps, Terraform, Pulumi).
• Proficiency with Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Collaborative and adaptable mindset.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Interest in open-source and better internet security.

Compensation: Starting base compensation in the US is $140,000 - $160,000.
